Section 8 has again transformed into a sun-dappled oasis for the 3rd year of their Urban Oasis summer series. Head down any day this weekend to run your toes through the literal tonnes of sand they’ve had trucked in for the occasion.
Wax’o Paradiso is curating the good-time vibes today, followed by jazz ONE PUF Tropical Soundclash on Friday, Cumbia Massive on Saturday and finishing with a Good Manners Soirée on Sunday, featuring DJ sets from Kllo, Planète, and Christopher Port.

Dreamy local favourite Oscar Key Sung is playing his first Melbourne show of the year tonight at Boney.
The stacked lineup also includes Jalé, Kimchi Princi, and Nico Niquo, playing tunes from 9pm until close. Some tickets are still available at the time of writing, so try your luck on the door if you miss the cutoff.

Adrian Bressanutti and Angie Pai, the pair behind Melbourne label PAI, have announced their indefinite hiatus and are throwing a farewell (for now) party on Thursday night at Croft Institute.
They’ve curated an incredible soundtrack to say goodbye, with DJ sets and live performances from the likes of Christopher Port, Kllo, Banoffee, Rat & Co, and many more. The night will also host the premiere of “Ouroboros”, a collaborative audio visual experience created by Tasha Tylee, Couture and Hamish Mitchell.

Following an incredible set at The Gaso last Thursday, Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird are playing a headline show at The Toff on Saturday night.
The Eilish Gilligan-led six piece Frida are playing support, along with Scott Candlish and his band from 7.30pm

On Sunday afternoon Smooch Records have put together an exciting special event at MPavillion from 4.30pm.
Chris Ackroyd will be playing records before, after and in between sets from SHOUSE and the fantastic jazz-influenced ambient-dance improvisers Albrecht La’Brooy.
